Wellbeing & Agency

A school curriculum that teaches students how their own minds work — attention, emotion, identity, relationships — with the same seriousness schools give maths or reading.

What changes when a school treats attention, emotion, identity, and relationships as part of the curriculum?

A science-first curriculum helping students build self-regulation, identity, relationships, and habits that support a good life — designed and taught at REAL School Budapest.

Wellbeing cannot be advice alone. It needs daily practice, structured reflection, and habits that make self-regulation visible.

What it is

A science-first wellbeing curriculum: students learn to understand their own minds, manage energy and attention, build relationships, and develop the agency to direct their learning and lives.

Why it exists

Traditional education often neglects the inner life of students, even though attention, emotion, identity, and relationships shape what learning is possible.

How it worked

Through daily practices, structured reflection, habit design, check-ins, and tools like Strive that turned self-regulation into visible practice.

Current status
